Lock Thieves Out !

How secure is your bicycle ?
One of our members has unfortunately been a victim of Bike Theft.
A new campaign to encourage passengers to securely lock up their cycles across the capital has been launched this month, including new marketing material such as posters depicting ways to lock up cycles securely at racks, as well as crime prevention leaflets with top tips.

Here are a few tips to help you keep safe:

  1. Security mark your bike and register at Bikeregister, Record details of your bike, Use high quality locks "sold secure",Lock frame and both wheels to the bike frame, Make the locks and bike hard to manoeuvre, Take parts that are easy to remove with you, Lock your bike at recognised secure cycle parking, Take the same care to lock your bike securely at home, Don't buy a stolen second-hand bike, If your bike has been stolen, contact the police
